You are invited to attend this mile-stone conference to help us celebrate 30 years of OHS education at the University of Ballarat. Ballarat is renowned for its commitment to reducing workplace fatalities, injuries and disease.

Therefore, the purpose of this conference is to not only celebrate what has been achieved to date, but to challenge delegates to consider how we can collectively make the greatest difference to OHS performance over the next ten years.

To stimulate discussion around how we can make a collective difference, we have put together a program of high profile international and national speakers to spark a robust discussion on OHS practice that is based upon the best available evidence and thinking. Directions in OHS Research and Practice will be discussed by exploring the themes including:

  • OHS leadership, culture and change
  • Safe design
  • OHS: on becoming a profession
  • Continuing education and evidence-based practice
  • The conference will provide you with the opportunity to:
  • Meet and network with over 200 OHS practitioners
  • Contribute to robust discussions exploring how we can make a difference
  • Meet others with similar challenges
  • Expand your network of contacts
  • Celebrate the 30th anniversary of OHS education at Ballarat
  • Have fun in a convivial and aesthetically pleasing environment
